Trax highlights the songs that need to be in your rotation.

This Friday marks the launch of LA-based rockers TV Heads’ maiden release, the EP Total Fucker, which comes via Oakland’s OIM Records and producer Jeff Saltzman (Department of Eagles, The Killers, Blondie). The trio formed last summer after more than a decade of collective experience in bands, tours, music teaching, and even drag musicals. Self-described as if “Jeff Buckley and Annie Clark fronted Smashing Pumpkins,” it’s no surprise that their undeniable combo of gritty post-punk riffs, ambient electro textures, and raw vocal harmonies have been causing significant vibrations locally.

Many of these qualities are on display in this edition of Trax, which highlights “Chin Up,” one of four songs from their forthcoming EP. Like what you hear? Celebrate Total Fucker‘s debut this Friday at Non-Plus Ultra with support by The Bomb and The Electric Magpie.

Total Fucker drops on June 24th. Pre-order it from Bandcamp HERE.
