Trax highlights the songs that need to be in your rotation.

Where there’s Smoke Season, there’s fire. That’s a sentiment that’s hard to disagree with if you’ve ever experienced the visceral contact of electro-soul act’s exuberant live performances. Make an effort to go seem ’em while you still can on the cheap.

The band’s Gabrielle Wortman proved equally engaging in our interview back in January, where we discussed political activism and the albums that changed her life, including “the greatest sex music that any LA band has ever made.”

Today’s Trax highlights their latest release, the single “Good Days,” of which the band writes:

“Good Days” is a song about nostalgia.  We wanted to capture the bittersweet feeling of remembering times that shaped you into who you are today.  Those events seem to slip by as they’re happening but their importance becomes so clear in retrospect.  To us, this is the definition of soul-shaping.
