Trax highlights the songs that need to be in your rotation.

Emerging LA foursome Ramonda Hammer takes their name from a contestant on early 2000s reality show Cheaters, but their biggest influences run a decade prior, when grunge sirens like Courtney Love and Shirley Manson howled across the airwaves. Frontwoman Devin Davis and her bandmates Andy Hengl, Justin Geter, and Mark Edwards delivered a well-received slice of retro rock last year with their debut LP Whatever That Means. Further publications fell under their spell when the band signed with indie label New Professor, who released last Fall’s single “Zombie Sweater” to positive reception from Brooklyn Vegan and Blurred Culture.

Ramonda Hammer will be celebrating the unveiling of their latest single of “Destroyers” tonight at The Echoplex in a joint release show alongside Pom Poms, who will be promoting their new album Turn You Out. Ticket link below.
