“Where always on different side of a lover’s carousel,” goes the following song by Los Angeles-based fusion group The Nick Valentini Collective, where the whims of the heart manifest as a colorful, elemental force. The eclectic collage of soulful harmonies, piano melodies, and shredding guitars comes courtesy of an eight-piece band- still less than a year old- that blends indie rock,  jazz, and experimental soul. They hope to bring the vibrancy of their live shows to a wider audience when their debut LP debuts later this summer.

States Valentini in the band’s press materials:

The upcoming album is inspired by the beauty of experimentation and the eagerness to explore endless possibilities through voice and music. There is opportunity to grow as people and individuals by simply trying new things.

The Nick Valentini Collective plans to tour extensively to promote the release and you can expect to hear more about all of the above as it develops on Yay! LA.
