The far-out first music video from singer-songwriter Alex Dezen’s new music project with Amber Marie Bollinger, Broken Baby.

Alex Dezen is a veteran singer-songwriter, known for alt-country group The Damnwells and his solo career, of which he has released four EPs and two full-lengths. The second of these LPs dropped in February, and while on-tour promoting it with partner and bandmate Amber Marie Bollinger the romance of creativity set the mood right and together they decided to make a Broken Baby. Broken Baby made their debut late last week with the trippy music video for their first single, “Bullets or Bummer,” while the full EP should be available online shortly.

“It’s overcast and everyone’s underpaid/so open up a new vein” cries Bollinger on a sonic shredder designed to make to FEEL something. A few words from her about the band’s birth and release…

Formation of the band:
We were watching Twin Peaks, Season 2 Episode 3, one late night in May and even though we both love the show we thought our time would be better spent if we made music instead of watching TV. Now that the EP is complete we went back to Twin Peaks. Turns out it’s a really great show.

The song:
This is the first song we wrote and the last song we finished for the EP. Is that interesting?

The video:
I get late night cravings for Doritos and champagne. It’s an assault on the stomach. I couldn’t go to sleep so I scoured the internet for videos of how my insides felt. Thus, the video was born.

Okay then! “Bullets or Bummer” is currently available as a free download if you sign up for the band’s mailing list here. You good? Lezget nuts!
