Artist Spotlight on PA-based fine art painter Kamille Freske.

by Daniel Barron

If it’s a witch, elf queen, or lady of the lake, it must emerge from the brush of Pennsylvania-based painter Kamille Freske. A graduate of The Tyler School of Art in 2012, she is currently explores her passion for portraiture, particularly when that means rendering the feminine and the fantastic.  Freske paints primarily in oil and acrylics, favoring a cool color palette that lends her subjects a seductive, ethereal grace.

Says her bio:

Inspired by myth, history, and fantasy, her paintings depict faces in a surreal and fantasy-like setting. For her, art is the ultimate escape, and a way to make her dreams and visions come to life.

For Yay! LA’s October 2015 Yay! Horror Movie A Day series she interpreted Neil Jordan’s The Company of Wolves and for our Summer 2016 Yay! Legends Every Day set she chose The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring.
