Artist Spotlight on the rainbow-hued works of illustrator Joshua Roman.
by Daniel Barron
Why choose one flavor when you can taste the rainbow? That seems to be the philosophy of fine artist and illustrator Joshua Roman, whose instantly-recognizable marker compositions explode with rich hues. It’s a vibrant aesthetic choice that livens up even the most tired pop subjects and at times assigns his compositions a macabre, mysterious, or even sensual power.
Roman’s distinct works have been shown in venues around the world for over fifteen years now, including the Flower Pepper Gallery, Gallery 1988, La Luz de Jesus, the Gauntlet Gallery, and the Modern Eden Gallery.
For Yay! LA‘s Summer 2016 Yay! Legends Every Day series he interpreted Weird Science.
