An anecdote animated by Michelle Alexis Newman.

The classic morality play Boogie Nights tells us “Everyone has one special thing.” But as we all must painfully come to terms with, sometimes movies lie to us. Case in point: the multi-talented Michelle Alexis Newman, who’s skill in filmmaking (featured in Vice and Vanity Fair) as well as fine art (featured in solo and group exhibitions around the country) debunks this adage. Further proof: the following video “The Hot Dog Story,” in which Newman combines special things to animate an amusing anecdote once told to her by a friend. It’s a fun way to spend the next couple minutes of your life, and will hopefully inspire you to loosen your purse strings on some more precious minutes with her other material.

Warning: It might ruin hot dogs for you, but she already ruined Boogie Nights for all of us so this day already sucks.
